I erased and then restored my phone and it’s still doing the same thing. I looked at the diagnostic data and it says .panic. After looking that up online, it’s a pretty big hardware problem and I pretty much need a new phone...FUCK

Yeah, my phone is shitting itself in a pretty big way as well, and I have no way to afford $170 for another phone right now. Boo.

Is it less than a year old? Take it back to apple and they should give you a new one.

Seems you’re caught in a boot loop. Unfortunately, there are few (if any) possibilities and fixes.

1. iOS is borked - Restore iOS through iTunes on your PC.

2. Your battery is failing - It’s common for Apple batteries to start failing 6+ months after original purchase date. A failing battery will cause a crazy amounts of issues. Batteries from eBay are actually pretty decent...they’re literally just old Apple batteries out of new phones that got destroyed.

3. A connector or cable has been disconnected or is failing - The logic board has a few tiny cables that will mess with the phone’s function if they have a bad connection or just simply fall off. If you know your way around an iPhone’s guts, you can take a look around. My iPhone 5 had a failing antenna cable which was what caused the phone to pretty much never be able to reach LTE speeds.

4. The logic board itself - If this is borked, you’re done. A logic board costs almost as much as a new iPhone.

If you’re still under the 1yr warranty, take it to an Apple store and they will give you a new one. If not? I reckon they’re still worth a crap ton on eBay.

(Source:I know my way around an Apple device more than I know my way around my car. lol)

Wouldn’t hurt to at least get it checked by a Genius. You can plead your 18-day case and explain it started a few weeks ago, even. Sometimes they’ll want the phone to send it back to corporate for inspection to prevent further problems in future models.

Cool. Make sure to disable activation lock, log out of iCloud and do a factory reset on it and you can make some money on eBay from selling it for parts. They lose a lot of value if they’re activation locked, even as a parts phone.
